Jeannie Sharp is the third and fourth grade Resource specialist at Charlotte Park Elementary. Jeannie is in her 26th year of teaching special needs students. She received her A.A. degree from Martin Methodist College in 1979, her B.S. from Memphis State University (now known as University of Memphis) in 1982, and her M.A. in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University in 1992. She taught in Memphis for 5 1/2 years, Wilson County (Lakeview Elementary) for 13 years and Metro Davidson County for 7 1/2 years. She has taught special needs children from Kindergarten through eighth grade. She is married and her husband's name is Charles Cayley Sharp and they have one daughter Phoebe. She is 12 years old and attends Meigs Magnet School. Jeannie collects antique Santas; and relaxes by playing in her plants and reading. She is known to tell her students," A disability isn't a handicap, unless you let it stop you from becoming a productive citizen and enjoying life to its fullest".
